The Cooking Panda (AKA, Jedd Marrero) has been interested in cooking since he was around the age of ten, watching endless – and honestly, dangerous – amounts of Food Network since then. He aspires to own his own made-to-order dessert bar in the long run, with a focus on uncanny yet satisfying flavor combinations. He is studying Restaurant and Foodservice Management at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, an offshoot of the University of Central Florida. In tandem with the curriculum, he has worked in the industry with employers such as the Walt Disney Company and Rosen Hotels and Resorts.
Jedd has worked as a writer for Spoon University, the first online food publication for students, by students. His articles have been featured on Yahoo! Food, MSN, USA Today, and Food Network’s Snapchat Discover Page. You can read them here. He also served as the Editorial Director for the Spoon chapter at the University of Central Florida.
In his free time, Jedd pretends to be force-sensitive and consumes copious amounts of matcha, melted cheese, and Taco Bell. You can find him only taking one bite out of desserts in fear of diabetes. He currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
